ABOUT

     My name is Reya and I  have been a photographer for 6 years now.  I recently graduated from UC Santa Cruz, 2 years ago, where I majored in art and focused on photography and printmaking.  My photography is mostly centralized around cinematic images, however, in my senior year of college, I decided to take a more documentary approach and focus on Watsonville farms and farmers. I love portraiture and using natural light to my advantage in my photographs, so I wanted to use this skill in my portraits of the farmers and make sure the images were finely curated.  Art for me is one of the best creative outlets and an incredible way for self-expression. I am so thrilled to also finally be able to merge my love of photography with my passion for cooking and food into one project to create an extensive body of work that I plan to continue adding to for the next couple of years. Photography to me is honestly so beautiful since every person had a different perception of what their seeing and the creativity is endless when you decide what goes into the frame and how you construct an image.
